Welcome to the Web Site of the Aberdeen Chamber Music Concerts (also known as Aberdeen Chamber Music Club).
Welcome to the 77th season of ACMC, which begins with a violin and piano recital with a programme of the great three Bs. You may remember the violinist Arisa Fujita from an outstanding concert with her two sisters as the Fujita Piano Trio. In November the brilliant young Elias Quartet play for us, in a concert which is part of sound, and includes a new work commissioned by them from the eminent Scottish-based composer Sally Beamish. December brings the unusual combination of clarinet, bassoon and piano, with Clarion 3, the members of which are all esteemed soloists in their own right, and the programme includes works for each of them alone as well as a trio. We are delighted that the internationally renowned Royal String Quartet are coming in January, and that they will play a quartet by their Polish compatriot, Szymanski. Once again the Tunnell Trust is sponsoring a concert for us, an exciting prospect as their prize winning groups have a record of going on to great things. This year the winners are the Fournier Piano Trio, with members from Britain, Korea and Australia. Finally, to conclude the season we have a return visit from the Badke Quartet, with a programme including an intriguing work by Peter Maxwell Davies.
